The tones may be soft and muted, but the stone is as hard as nails - virtually indestructible, in fact. The natural riven face of the stone is smoothed off, then seasoned' to give the appearance of a time-worn, country house floor.
Delivery & Returns
Are there shipping costs and how will my order be deliverered?
Shipping costs may apply depending on the size, weight, and destination of your order. We offer both nationwide and local delivery services. Smaller items are typically shipped via courier, while larger or heavier orders (such as tiles or stone) are delivered using a pallet network.
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location and the nature of the items purchased. Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery, as pallet deliveries are kerbside and do not include unpacking or moving items indoors. We will do our best to inform you of your delivery date for all palletised orders.
For more detailed information about shipping options, charges, and delivery times, please visit our Shipping Your Order page.
Can I return unused or unwanted tiles?
Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Do you ship to Northern Ireland?
Yes, we ship both parcels and palletised goods from our UK warehouse to customers in Northern Ireland.
For parcels, no EORI or XI EORI number is required, and deliveries proceed as standard without additional customs documentation.
For palletised goods, customs requirements differ depending on the intended use:
- If the goods are not intended for retail in Northern Ireland, no further customs information is required.
- If the goods are intended for retail in Northern Ireland, you must provide a valid XI EORI number so we can complete the necessary customs procedures before dispatch.
To obtain an XI EORI number, you must first apply for a GB EORI number and then convert it to an XI EORI via the UK Government portal: https://www.gov.uk/eori/apply-for-eori.
We must receive your XI EORI number before we can dispatch palletised orders intended for retail use in Northern Ireland.

Frequently asked questions
How do I seal natural stone tiles?
For sealing natural stones, we recommend using a high-quality water- and oil-repellent sealant such as Fila MP90.
Fila MP90 is a penetrating sealer designed to protect natural stone surfaces. To apply it correctly, follow these steps:
- Clean the surface: Remove any dirt, dust, or debris using a pH-neutral cleaner like Fila Cleaner. Rinse the surface thoroughly with water and allow it to dry completely.
- Apply the sealer: Use a paint roller, brush, or sprayer to apply a thin, even coat of Fila MP90 to the stone. Ensure full coverage, including edges and any pores or cracks.
- Let the sealer penetrate: Allow the product to sit on the surface for 15 to 30 minutes so it can be absorbed properly.
- Remove excess: Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away any sealer that hasn’t been absorbed. It’s important to remove all excess before it dries, as dried residue can be difficult to remove.
- Allow to cure: Let the surface dry fully before exposing it to water or regular use.
Note: Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. It is strongly recommended to test the sealer on a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to the e
These tiles require sealing, what does that mean?
Porous tiles—such as all of our natural stone products, including floor tiles, wall tiles, and feature mosaics—should be sealed to protect them from stains and wear.
In addition to natural stone, crackle-glazed ceramic wall tiles and certain polished porcelain tiles can also benefit from a protective sealant. Sealing these surfaces helps prevent staining, simplifies cleaning, and extends the life of the tile.
In some cases, even porcelain tiles with anti-slip or exterior finishes may benefit from an added protective barrier.
This is a special order item, what does this mean?
Why are these tiles good for outside?
For concrete bases, tiles with a thickness of 6-10mm are sufficient because the concrete base provides the necessary strength. On the other hand, a sand and mortar substrate requires a thicker tile, such as a 20mm porcelain, for increased strength and stability.
To ensure safety, tiles used in outdoor areas with the potential for water or other hazards should have a high slip resistance rating, such as an R11 finish.
Similarly, natural stone tiles should be chosen based on the thickness and finish that is appropriate for the substrate. Thinner stone tiles can be used on concrete bases, while thicker stones should be fixed on a mortar bed. Etched finishes can also provide increased slip resistance on natural stone tiles.
